Companies
A company is an organization you sell to or work with. Companies group contacts and deals, so you always see the full picture of an account.
What a company holds
Section titled “What a company holds”- Name: required, and unique in your workspace.
- Profile: industry, company size (from tiny to enterprise), region, and website.
- Address: street, city, postal code, country.
- Legal: VAT number and registration number.
- Extras: phone, description, and an avatar.
Companies also support tags, custom fields, comments, and file attachments.
Parent companies and subsidiaries
Section titled “Parent companies and subsidiaries”A company can have one parent, which turns it into a subsidiary. The hierarchy is one level deep on purpose: a parent can’t itself be a subsidiary, and a company that already has subsidiaries can’t become one. This keeps account structures readable.
People and deals
Section titled “People and deals”- Contacts link to a company with an optional role, and one contact can belong to several companies.
- Deals attach to a company. Delete the company and its deals stay, just without a company.
Activity and notifications
Section titled “Activity and notifications”Field changes land in the company’s activity feed. Watchers get notified about updates, and the creator watches the company automatically.
Search
Section titled “Search”Search matches name, website, address fields, VAT number, and registration number. Case-insensitive, partial text works.
Deleting
Section titled “Deleting”Deleting a company is a soft delete: it can be restored, and nothing linked to it is destroyed.
