Tasks & subtasks
A task is one piece of work inside a project. It always sits in exactly one task list, and its completion follows the workflow status it’s in.
The task panel
Section titled “The task panel”Click any task, anywhere, and it opens in a side panel that mirrors the deal panel part for part:
- Left: title, complete toggle, description, subtasks, linked CRM records, attachments, comments, and the activity feed.
- Right: status, priority, start date, due date, due time, estimate in minutes, assignees, tags, followers, and custom fields.
The panel bar carries the task’s key (APEX-14) and its ancestors, so a subtask always has a way back to its parent, whatever the body is scrolled to.
It opens three ways, like a deal: from a link with ?task=<id> on any page, by navigating to /tasks/:id, or by clicking a row on a project page, My Work, search, or the activity feed.
What a task holds
Section titled “What a task holds”- Title: required. Everything else is optional, so quick-add from a list is one line and Enter.
- Status: one of the project workflow’s statuses. Completion is derived from the status category, never set on its own. Moving a task into a closed status completes it; moving it out reopens it.
- Priority: none, low, medium, high, or urgent.
- Start date, due date, due time.
- Estimate: in minutes.
- Assignees: any number of teammates. The list and the board both show an avatar stack, capped at three faces plus a count.
- Description, tags, followers, custom fields, attachments, comments.
Cavyro also records where a task came from: the app, Telegram, the AI assistant, an automation, the API, or an import.
Subtasks
Section titled “Subtasks”A subtask is a task with a parent, one level deep. It carries everything a task carries: its own assignees, dates, status, comments, and attachments.
In list view, subtasks hang under their parent on a tree rail. The count chip on the parent is the disclosure, so a task with twenty subtasks folds away again. In My Work, subtasks stay out of the list. They belong inside their parent.
Deleting a parent takes its subtasks with it under one timestamp, so restoring puts back exactly what the delete removed.
Linking to CRM records
Section titled “Linking to CRM records”A task can be linked to a deal, a contact, or a company. Link it from the task panel, and the task shows up as work attached to that record rather than floating in a project nobody outside the team opens.
Moving and reordering
Section titled “Moving and reordering”- Drag a row to reorder it inside its list, or drop it into another list in the same folder.
- Drag a card across board columns to change its status.
- Use the task menu, or the bulk bar, to move tasks to a different list.
Both are applied locally first and rolled back if the request fails, so a drag never snaps back under your cursor while the request is in flight.
Acting on several at once
Section titled “Acting on several at once”Every task row has a checkbox, on the project page and on My Work. Selecting rows opens the bulk bar, which can complete, reopen, assign, set priority, set status, set a due date, add or remove tags, move to another list, follow, archive, and delete.
Status and the list picker only appear on a project page. Neither means anything across projects, which is what My Work is.
Notifications
Section titled “Notifications”Cavyro notifies you when a task is assigned to you, when a task you follow changes, and when a project you’re on is updated or completed with work still open.
Due tasks arrive as one digest per day per person, not one notification per task. How they reach you (in-app, email, Telegram) is up to your notification settings.
Deleting
Section titled “Deleting”Deleting a task is a soft delete. It goes to Settings → Recycle bin, under Tasks, and can be restored.
