Importing data

Import contacts, companies, or deals from a CSV file. Notion exports get their own import mode that understands Notion’s date, number, and multi-select formats.

How an import works

1. Upload the file and pick what you’re importing: contacts, companies, or deals. Deal imports also pick the target pipeline.
2. Cavyro reads the headers and suggests a column mapping. Adjust it, including mapping columns to your custom fields.
3. Run the import and watch the counts: imported, updated, skipped, and failed, with a per-row outcome you can inspect.

Duplicates

Imports don’t create duplicates:

• Contacts match by email first; contacts without an email match by name.
• Companies match by name.

A matched record is linked or updated instead of duplicated.

Undo

Made a mess? Undo the import. Only records the import created are removed; records it merely linked to or updated stay, so an undo can never destroy data that existed before the import.

Notion specifics

Export your Notion database as CSV and pick the Notion mode. Relation columns (like a deal’s contact) carry names rather than emails, and Cavyro resolves them to existing records where it can.

Sample data

A new workspace can be seeded with a sample pipeline, deals, contacts, and companies, so you can click around before importing anything real. Sample data never counts toward plan limits, and an admin can remove it in one action.
