Managing deals
A deal is one opportunity moving through a pipeline. It always sits in exactly one stage, and its status (open, won, or lost) follows the stage it’s in.
What a deal holds
Section titled “What a deal holds”- Title: required. The only required field, so quick-adding from the board is fast.
- Value and currency: the currency defaults to your workspace currency, and you can override it per deal.
- Probability: 0 to 100 percent.
- Expected close date: for forecasting and sorting.
- Priority: none, low, medium, high, or urgent.
- Source: where the deal came from. Referral, inbound, outbound, website, conference, event, outreach, or other.
- Description: free text for context.
Deals also support tags, custom fields, comments, and file attachments.
People on a deal
Section titled “People on a deal”- Assignees: any number of teammates responsible for the deal.
- Contacts: the people on the customer’s side.
- Company: optionally attach the account the deal belongs to.
The person who created a deal watches it automatically. Watchers get notified when key fields change.
Status: open, won, lost
Section titled “Status: open, won, lost”Status and stage stay in sync, whichever one you change:
- Move a deal into a won or lost stage and its status updates to match, with the close date stamped automatically.
- Change the status directly and the deal moves to the first matching stage in its pipeline.
- Create a deal directly in a won or lost stage and it takes that status immediately.
- Marking a deal lost asks for a lost reason, so your reports can tell you why deals die.
Reopening a deal clears its close date.
Stage history
Section titled “Stage history”Every stage change is recorded with a timestamp, so Cavyro knows how long each deal spent in each stage. Reports use this for time-in-stage and conversion insights.
Moving deals
Section titled “Moving deals”Drag deals between stages on the board or reorder them within a stage. A deal can’t accidentally jump to a stage in another pipeline.
Deleting
Section titled “Deleting”Deleting a deal is a soft delete and can be restored.
